Who doesn’t struggle with the odd bit of cellulite here and there? It’s a horrible affliction but it’s all too common. It stops women from being able to wear short skirts and it is something that creates a lot of body anxiety. However, much work has been done in the field of cosmetic surgery to try and combat the problem, and one of the most popular solutions available now is something called ‘Cellulaze’. In this article we will tell you a little more about what it involves so that you can decide if it is something that could be right for you.

So, What Is Cellulaze?

Cellulaze is a laser procedure that attacks cellulite under the skin. It is minimally invasive and only one treatment is needed for long-lasting results. It is a very simple procedure – basically a tiny tube is inserted into the skin and it delivers laser treatment at the course of the cellulite. It works by breaking down fats and smoothing out cellulite which means that you are left with much less orange peel-like marks on your skin. It may not get rid of it altogether, but it will certainly dramatically reduce it. Other methods of cellulite removal such as creams and scrubs won’t have nearly as much of an effect and you may even end up spending more in the long run.

Can I Have Cellulaze?

Cellulaze works really well on most people, however if you are obese you will need to lose some weight before you can have the treatment, otherwise it just won’t work properly. It works best on people that are of average build and that want to shift the cellulite from their thighs. As long as your surgeon is happy that you are fit and healthy then you will be able to undergo the treatment.

Does The Procedure Hurt?

You will be given a local anesthetic before the laser treatment begins, so you shouldn’t feel a thing. You will be asked to lie on your tummy while the injection is delivered, and once the anesthetic starts working the area will be numb and your consultant will begin the process. You should expect the treatment to take up to two hours but it depends on how big the area is that is to be treated.

What About Recovery Time?

You won’t have to stay in overnight – as soon as the laser treatment is completed and you feel able to walk you will be allowed home. You will need to take it easy for a few days and you may get some bruising but you should be able to go back to your normal routine within a couple of days. You may be given a compression bandage to wear while the area heals. Follow the recovery advice given by your consultant and don’t be tempted to undertake any heavy lifting etc. until you are safe to do so.

You will need to have the treatment about once a year to keep on top of it, and every time you get it done it will look even better than before. There’s never been an easier way to beat cellulite!
